NC4 will participate in the National Level Exercise (NLE) the week of May 16-19. NLE 2011 will be based upon a major earthquake along the New Madrid fault, an area in the Midwest that over past last 100 years has seen a tremendous amount of infrastructure growth. As a participant in the exercise, NC4 will be working closely with Business Emergency Operations Centers (BEOCs) interfacing with State and Federal command centers and business organizations to test the effects of business to business communication, and enabling systems/technologies on business decision making and response behavior.

Missouri Department of Public Safety Implements Latest Version of NC4’s E Team

The Missouri Department of Public Safety (DPS) has implemented the latest E Team software to enhance information sharing and resource tracking statewide. The E Team emergency management solution has several new features that will assist government agencies in preparing for the upcoming hurricane season. The new features include External Situational Awareness (ESA) Incident Monitor (EIM), a tool that tracks incidents in real time; a Web Service Definition Language (WSDL) Interface, a standard Extensible Markup Language (XML) for application integration with E Team; and E Team Live, which gathers incident information from Web sites, such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s, and automatically imports the data into the E Team application. Each new feature supplies critical capabilities that can assist agencies in hurricane season preparedness and response.
