Situational Awareness
Drawing on its partnerships with government and law enforcement agencies, NC4’s National Incident Monitoring Centers (NIMCs) improve Situational Awareness within government agencies by issuing real-time, global, 24x7 proactive incident information and alerts. NC4’s External Situational Awareness (ESA) service notifies government agencies of events that may impact operations, by issuing early, real-time notifications and continuous updates for occurrences that could threaten our nation’s personal safety or property loss. Situational Response
Designed by emergency managers, NC4’s incident management system, E Team, provides a common operating picture for effective incident management and reporting. E Team allows cross-jurisdictional information sharing and empowers emergency management personnel with a common, real-time operating picture. E Team has been implemented in numerous Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) regions and statewide deployments, enabling emergency managers in the region to work together in preparation for, and response to, critical incidents, as well as planned and unplanned events. E Team enables command and control actions to be compliant with the guiding principles of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the National Response Plan (NRP) and the Incident Command System (ICS), for a coordinated government response.
Built into E Team, ESA Incident Monitor (EIM) delivers situational awareness of all-hazards incidents world-wide that may affect government operations. EIM functionality allows agencies of any size to access a virtual watch command center that consistently monitors activity in the surrounding area. While EIM provides incident details publicized by the media, full descriptions of incidents furnished by NC4’s authoritative sources, such as local police departments and other government agencies, are only available to E Team users that also have an ESA license.

Secure Communication and Collaboration
To comply with regulatory guidelines, NC4’s Extranet Secure Portals (ESP) solution allows Emergency Management agencies to share sensitive information while meeting and exceeding federal requirements for information protection of Privacy Impact Information, Controlled Unclassified Information, Sensitive but Unclassified information and more. Currently in use by an increasing number of federal agencies (including the Director of National Intelligence, Department of Energy, NASA, Department of Homeland Security, the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Defense as well as some 8,000 law enforcement officials) the ESP highly secure collaboration platform enables proactive, integrated government readiness in support of mission critical requirements towards securing our nation.
For professionals that need both real-time incident data and intelligence information sharing, NC4 has combined the Situational Awareness functionality of ESA with the Secure Collaboration functionality of ESP into NC4’s Situational Readiness Network (SRN). SRN is currently available in NC4’s CyberCop Portal.
